Advanced Medical Physics, Inc., specializes in radiation oncology services. We have a group of board-certified Physicists and Dosimetrists who have extensive experience with Linac, HDR, shielding calculations, new building design, and the everyday clinical needs of a radiation therapy cancer center.

Our company operate across Texas, providing Physics and Dosimetry services to many hospitals and private cancer centers. We have significant experience in building new radiation cancer centers from the ground up, which requires a thorough knowledge of building design, shielding, licensing with the state, acceptance, commissioning, and setting up protocols for treatment planning and patient workflow.

External Beam Radiation

Our group of Physicists and Dosimetrists are highly experienced in commissioning and servicing radiation centers for external beam radiation.  A cancer center with external beam radiation typically requires the services of Physicist and Dosimetrist to provide quality assurances and provide treatment plans for patients on an individual basis to meet the everyday clinical needs.  We work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and Therapists to ensure the highest quality is maintained for patients while receiving radiation treatment.

High Dose Radiotherapy

High Dose Radiotherapy (HDR) has a huge clinical advantage when treating a small focused area, since there is very little dose delivered outside the tumor as compared to external beam radiation. However, the use of radioactive material to treat the tumor makes this modality very Physics intensive in terms of Quality Assurance and treatment planning. We have extensive experience with HDR for commissioning, source exchanges, QA's, and treatment planning.

Electronic Brachytherapy

Electronic brachytherapy (EBT) is the administration of high dose radiotherapy brachytherapy without the use of radioactive isotope and with minimal shielding requirements due to the low energies utilized with the system. Therefore, it can be used in controlled settings without a specially shielded vault, such as in the office of an authorized user or in an operating room. Electronic brachytherapy is a treatment modality being utilized to treat breast cancer, non-melanoma skin cancer, gynecological and other cancers.
