Clinical Physicists have many duties including the periodic calibration, quality assurance, treatment planning and review, consultation, etc. With decades of experience, Advanced Medical Physics, Inc. can provide services for many radiotherapy modalities.

To ensure accurate and consistent treatment delivery, quality assurance of equipment should be performed daily, weekly, monthly, and annually with tests becoming increasingly more thorough and comprehensive. By using the latest TG-51 and TG-142 protocols, annual and monthly quality assurance testing is essential in providing safe and precise radiation treatment. Generating detailed reports will allow for the constant monitoring of equipment along with any performance trends.

In addition, patient specific dosimetry and plan quality assurance are reviewed by the physicist in order to validate patient treatment plans.  Because of varying tumors and patient sizes, no two treatment plans are ever the same, which requires individual plans to undergo verification.

Having been involved consistently in the clinical duties of many radiation centers, our physicists are able to fulfill the daily, monthly, and annual needs of many radiation oncology departments.
